Temporary set-ups that look permanent
Stages and grandstands are rarely a one-off purchase. A municipality uses the same stage for the new year reception, the fair and the sports prize ceremony; a club rebuilds the same grandstand every season. That is why everything hinges on modularity: separate deck panels, adjustable legs and accessories you combine as needed.
Choosing the right height
Height determines how far the audience can see. Fifty centimetres is enough in a hall where everyone is seated. Eighty centimetres is the most requested height for outdoor set-ups with a standing audience. Above one metre you are dealing with a true stage, where steps with a handrail and edge protection become mandatory. Telescopic legs let you use one set across several situations and absorb an uneven surface at the same time.
Versions
Demountable stages
Deck panels on an adjustable substructure, in fixed heights or telescopic. Assembled without tools and stacked flat afterwards.
Platforms and stage decking
Separate panels and folding platforms for small elevations: a lectern, a demonstration, an exhibition stand. Also with an anti-slip top layer.
Grandstands
Mobile tiered seating for sports grounds, competitions and ceremonies. Movable and storable.
Prize ceremony podiums
Three-step podiums for sport and competitions, with printed skirting or integrated lighting.
Dance floors
Flat floor systems for indoor and outdoor use, adjustable to absorb differences in level.
Stage accessories
Made-to-measure stage skirting, banner canopies, edge cladding and ballast tiles.
Safety and load capacity
Every stage has a maximum load per square metre. It determines how many people may stand on it and how heavy the equipment you place on it may be. Always ask for that figure before ordering. Above one metre in height, additional requirements apply for edge protection and steps. On an unpaved or sloping surface you work with adjustable legs and a spreader plate, never with loose blocks.
What determines the price?
Four things. The surface area, because you buy per deck panel. The height, because a taller substructure is built heavier and calls for steps and edge protection. The finish: plain skirting does not cost the same as custom-printed skirting. And the quantity, because from a full set onwards the price per element drops noticeably. If you use a stage every year, it pays to think in cost per year of use rather than in purchase price.
