Election materials for municipalities and public authorities

Election materials are the full set of equipment a polling station needs to run smoothly and correctly on the day itself: voting booths, ballot boxes, tables and chairs, signage towards and inside the building, poster panels in the public domain, and all the small items you only think of when they are missing. We supply that package from a single source, so you do not have to approach five different parties and piece the puzzle together yourself.

Our customers are mainly municipalities, provinces and other public authorities organising an election or a ballot, but also organisations holding an internal vote: works council elections, member councils, general meetings. The scale differs, the logic does not. You have a list of locations, a number of polling stations per location and a date that will not move. We start from those three facts and build a delivery plan around them.

What is included

• Voting booths in various versions, from lightweight folding models to sturdier free-standing units
• Ballot boxes in a range of sizes, lockable and sealable in line with what the organising authority prescribes
• Poster panels for election posters in the public domain, with an equal space for every list

Because everything comes from the same source, it also fits together: the same signage style inside and out, and one contact person for the entire delivery.

Version and material

The version depends on how you want to use the equipment. Those who organise an election every few years and store the equipment themselves usually opt for robust, reusable versions in metal or sturdy plastic. Those who prefer not to store anything hire the equipment and return it afterwards. For one-off ballots there are lighter cardboard and composite versions that are recycled after use.

In practice: planning, set-up and storage

The greatest risk with election materials is not quality but timing. Every municipality in the country orders within the same window, from a handful of suppliers, for the same date. Anyone who calls three weeks in advance runs into exhausted stock and production lead times that can no longer be made up. Reserve well in advance, therefore, even if you do not yet know the exact quantities. A reservation with a margin can always be adjusted; an order that leaves too late cannot.

Also think about storage between two elections. Equipment that spends four years in a damp cellar does not come out undamaged. Stackable versions, dry storage on pallets and a short inventory when putting things away will save you a lot of work at the next call.

Accessibility deserves a separate line in your plan. Provide at least one set-up per location that is usable for voters in a wheelchair, with sufficient passage width and a lowered writing surface. High-contrast signage at eye level also helps voters with impaired sight.

What determines the price?

The price of a package of election materials is determined by the number of polling stations and locations, the chosen version and material quality, the balance between hire and purchase, the personalisation of signage and panels, and the logistics: delivery per location or centrally, set-up by your own services or by us, and any collection afterwards. Storage between two elections can be included as well. We calculate all of that against your specific list.
