Being visible where the facade falls short
Not every business sits on the street. On a business park, a hospital campus or a retail zone, your facade is often too far away or at the wrong angle to be read. A totem solves that: a free-standing pillar you place where the visitor makes the decision, at the site entrance, at the car park junction or in front of the main door.
Illuminated or not
Lighting decides whether your totem still works after sunset. An LED-lit totem with a translucent face gives an even light panel and stays visible hours longer in winter, which matters for healthcare, hospitality and anything with evening opening hours. A non-illuminated totem is simpler and often enough for a business operating in daytime. No electrical connection is then needed, which greatly simplifies installation.

Aluminium housing with LED lighting and a translucent face, single or double sided.
Outdoor advertising totem
Non-illuminated pillar in aluminium or coated sheet material, weather-resistant finish. Also available four-sided.
Indoor advertising totem
Slimmer version for halls, waiting areas and showrooms.
Fabric totem on a frame
A frame with a tensioned printed fabric. Light, quick to replace when the brand identity changes, ideal when the message rotates regularly.
Mobile totem
Movable on a weighted base, no foundation. For trade fairs, temporary campaigns and events.
Wayfinding totem and info pillar
Information carriers holding several names or directions, for campuses, care institutions and business parks.
Advertising column and pylon
Monumental versions at height, visible from the approach road.
Bespoke totem
Shape, height and material entirely to your brand identity or your architect's design.
Foundation and installation
A fixed totem needs a foundation matched to its height and wind load. That is not a detail: the taller and wider the pillar, the heavier the concrete base or the ground anchors. We determine this from the dimensions and the ground conditions. A mobile totem falls outside this: it works on a weighted base and stays movable.
Permits
A free-standing totem requires an environmental permit in most Flemish municipalities, and the rules vary strongly per municipality and per zone. Height, surface area and lighting are the points where things go wrong. Check this before you finalise the design, because a change on paper costs nothing and a change after production does.
What determines the price?
Height first of all, because it drives the structure and the foundation. Then the lighting: LEDs, power supply and connection make a considerable difference. Then the material and the finish, and whether the totem is single, double or four-sided. Finally the installation itself, because excavation and concrete depend entirely on your site. Two totems of the same height can therefore end up far apart in price.
