A totem you can redress yourself
A fabric totem is a slim aluminium frame with a tensioned printed fabric. The frame stays, the fabric changes. If you adapt your message regularly, for a promotion, a season or a new brand identity, you pay for the structure only once.
Fabric and frame
The fabric is a polyester weave with a silicone keder along the edge that slides into a groove in the profile. That gives a taut, seamless image with no visible fixings. Replacing it takes minutes and needs no tools or fitter. Printed single or double sided, with a weighted base or fixed ground mounting.
Indoors or outdoors
Indoors, a fabric totem is almost always the most economical choice. Outdoors it depends on the spot: a sheltered entrance or a terrace is fine, an open car park with a lot of wind calls for a heavier frame and a fabric with wind slots. Expect a shorter service life than a coated aluminium panel. That is the price of flexibility, and usually a deliberate choice.
What determines the price?
The size of the fabric first of all, because you pay per square metre of printed textile. Then single or double sided, the type of base, and whether the frame stands indoors or outdoors. Spare fabrics cost considerably less than a second totem, which makes the sums attractive as soon as you plan several messages.
