When no standard model fits
Sometimes it is settled before the conversation starts: the architect has drawn a shape, the building calls for a height that appears in no catalogue, or the totem has to blend into a canopy, a low wall or a landscaped area. You then start not from a model but from your situation. That is where bespoke work begins.
How it runs
We measure and study the location: sight lines, ground conditions, wind load and where power can come from. We then produce a 3D design in which you see the totem in its surroundings, not as a drawing on paper but in proportion to your building. Production starts only after your approval. For greater heights we calculate the structure and the foundation, so there is no discussion during the permit application.
What is possible
Shape and height are free. So is the material: aluminium, weathering steel, wood, concrete, glass or a combination. Lighting can come from within, from illuminated letters or from an LED line as an accent. A totem can carry several functions at once: name, wayfinding, digital screen and lighting in one. Integration with existing furniture or with a gateway structure is also possible.
What determines the price?
In bespoke work, height and structure are decisive, because they also drive the foundation. Then the choice of material, where the gap between sheet material and solid weathering steel is large. The complexity of the shape matters: a straight housing is made faster than a curved or tapering form. And the one-off engineering and design cost weighs more heavily on a single piece than on a series for several sites.
