Hanging stand headers for exhibition stands

Hanging stand headers mark your exhibition stand from above, over the heads of the crowd. On a busy exhibition floor a visitor at eye level sees the front row of stands at most; everything behind that disappears behind people and furniture. Whatever hangs above the crowd stays readable from the other side of the hall. That is why the header is often the element that decides whether visitors find you at all.

We make these headers for exhibitors, stand builders and event agencies. They are also used outside the exhibition context: above a reception desk, in a sports hall, in a large atrium or above a zone on a festival site.

Versions

Square and rectangular headers

The classic shape, usually printed on four sides, above a corner or island stand.

Round and oval headers

Softer in shape, with a continuous image without interruption or seam.

Triangular and multi-sided versions

For stands with three open sides or for a distinctive design language.

Illuminated headers

Frames with built-in LED lighting that light the fabric from within. In a hall with plenty of ambient light and plenty of competition, that makes the difference.

Material and technique

The structure is a light aluminium frame that you assemble on site. The graphic is usually polyester textile with a sewn-in silicone edge, which you tension seamlessly into the groove. The fabric recovers from creasing, is light and folds down into a small package, which helps with air freight or a full van.

Weight is decisive. Every exhibition hall sets out what may hang from the rigging points and how you must suspend it. In many halls rigging is permitted only by the organiser's appointed rigging partner, and must be requested in advance, stating weight and dimensions. Ask for that documentation early, because the application deadlines are strict and late requests are refused.

A fire classification is nearly always mandatory for the fabric. We supply textile that meets the usual requirements and provide you with the certificate, but check what the organiser specifically prescribes.

In practice

• Keep the text short. A company name and perhaps one key word. Anything you cannot read from thirty metres does not belong on it.
• Choose high contrast. Fine colour nuances disappear under the hall's halogen or LED lighting.
• Measure the clear height up to the fixed installations. A header that hangs too low cuts through the sight lines across the hall.
• Keep the graphics equally strong on all sides. Visitors rarely approach from the side you had in mind.
• Common mistake: setting the logo too small in a large surface. Fill the header out; empty space does not work in your favour here.

If you are in a hall without rigging points, or the organiser does not allow suspension, this is not the right choice. In that case a tall banner on a floor-standing structure or an illuminated totem achieves a comparable effect.

What determines the price?

• The dimensions and the shape: straight, round, triangular or multi-sided.
• The number of printed sides and the image coverage.
• Whether or not there is built-in lighting, and the type of control.
• The fabric type and the fire classification with certificate required.
• Extra fabrics for future fairs on the same frame.
• Transport cases and set-up or rigging by us or by the hall.
• The number of fairs at which you will use the header.
